AVDMedia's electronic design services are truly customized to fit the unique affluent lifestyles of each of our customers.  Focusing on solutions rather than on product sales, AVDMedia creates an interactive atmosphere inviting our customers to share their concerns, hopes and ideals.  This interaction is encouraged at every stage of the design process to guarantee the relevance of the design to your lifestyle.

The foundation of our design services is the complimentary "Scope of Design" process that is performed by our design team prior to the actual "Design".  This process involves extensive interviews with our customers and is focused on setting the direction of the project.  Once this "Scope" has been completed and approved, AVDMedia begins the design process in earnest.

Initially in the design phase our team carefully considers the expected usage patterns of our customers in the environment of their new home or facility.  How much time is spent here, what are the primary activities, the major concerns and the unique expectations.

Our design team then begins to identify the systems, which must be included in the implementation of the custom electronic systems.  In addition, many of the standard residential and commercial systems are carefully reviewed to determine the types of interaction and control that is relevant for the project.  Below is a sample list of the types of systems, which are included in this analysis.

  • Distributed Audio

  • Distributed Video

  • Climate Control (HVAC)

  • Security System

  • Internet Appliances

  • VPN Connectivity

  • Digital Satellite Systems

  • Broadband Connectivity

  • Telephone Systems

  • Lighting Design/Control

  • Window Treatments

  • Home Theater Design (Acoustics/Imaging)

  • Spa/Pool Control

  • Video Conferencing

  • Irrigation System

  • Remote Access/Monitoring/Control

  • Integrated Control and Monitoring

  • Home Appliances

In addition to the electronics, our design team carefully deliberates with our clients concerning their unique lifestyle patterns, budget requirements, long term usefulness, and how they will interaction with their new electronic systems on a daily basis.  To get a better idea of the thoroughness with which AVDMedia proceeds through the design process with each of our customers, feel free to review a sample of our residential "Custom Project; Initial Planner"

From the very beginning of the design process, AVDMedia works closely with the architect, interior designer, general contractor, and other relevant sub-contractors involved with the project. Our commitment to working with these individuals  gives further assurance that the electronic design will integrate smoothly and efficiently into the large picture of the project in a manner that compliments all of the sub-systems and the overall décor of the home or facility.

During the Design process our customers are encouraged to monitor the status of their project through AVDMedia's  interactive web viewing tool.  This consists of a secured set of web pages showing the blue prints and accessible through username and password for each client and any sub-contractors that may need to view the plans as they develop.

The conclusion of the design renders the following as part of your complete design package:

  • Multiple sets of full size blue prints in color. (Enough for the client and appropriate contractors)

  • Elevation Drawings; showing the equipment mounting and placement in all cabinets and racks

  • Schematic Drawings; showing the end-to-end connections of all wiring

  • Bill of Materials: A detailed list of components shown by room, zone, phase, and/or manufacturer.

  • Cable Labels; Provided for both ends of wires to identify cable #, cable type, origin, destination.

You are welcome to view a sample of our work.  This set of drawings is from a 16,000 sq. foot home.
